MISSION STATEMENT

The goal of this practice is to treat all patients as we would like others to treat us; with excellent care, dignity and respect. We will also ensure that the patients experience is timely, pleasant, and comfortable.

We will help our patients understand their healthcare concerns so they can make educated decisions regarding recommended treatment.

Treatment will be rendered with the greatest care and skill. This care and skill combined with the most advanced techniques, materials, and technology; leads to exceptional treatment results.

We will continually update our skills and knowledge to provide you, our patient, with educated recommendations and treatment.

The Practice:

Dr. Kissel’s practice focuses primarily on reconstructive periodontics and dental implants. This includes enhancing cosmetics, saving teeth at risk due to bone loss, replacing teeth that cannot be saved with dental implants and recreating the foundation for a healthy, pleasing and functional smile.

Dr. Kissel places an emphasis on oral medicine. He addresses the relationship between dental health and the patient’s overall physical health. Examples include the relationship between periodontal disease and cardiovascular disease, pre term, low birth weight infants and diabetes.

Dr. Kissel and his office staff make every effort to ensure that the patients’ appointment is timely, pleasant and comfortable. People are often extremely anxious about treatment. Dr. Kissel takes the time to talk through a patient’s concerns before starting.

Technologically the office is highly advanced. The office is “paperless” thereby allowing all administrative and record keeping tasks to be extremely efficient and detailed. A computer assisted anesthetic delivery system is utilized which provides a relatively pain free injection.

Dr. Kissel uses an operating microscope and microscopic instruments for many procedures. Microscopic techniques has opened the door to a new level of care not obtainable with traditional periodontal care. This has resulted in more conservative treatment, often discomfort free procedures and exceptional results.

Infection control is taken seriously. To protect the patient’s health, all instruments are sterilized by an autoclave before use. Other supplies are disposable and new gloves, masks and gowns are used for every patient. The rooms are disinfected after each patient appointment.

Since Dr. Kissel was a general practitioner, he has a unique understanding of the needs and expectations of a restorative dentist. Dr. Kissel welcomes the opportunity to meet in person with the restorative doctor to develop a patient’s treatment plan and then to have a joint conference with the patient to review the plan and answer any questions.

He has found these face to face meetings invaluable for all three parties in ensuring that the best treatment plan has been devised for the specific patient and that everyone is “on the same page” with regard to implementing the plan.

Dr. Kissel believes that your right to choose a dentist is an important freedom. We work closely with your dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required to visit our office. We also welcome referrals from patients and friends of the practice.
